About

Painting and drawing the things I love is one of my favorite things to do. Horses and the Rocky Mountains being at the top of the list.

What more is there to say?

My husband Tom, who is my partner in crime, and/or Adventure & I live on 10 beautiful wooded acres we call Starwood Glen which we share with three horses: D’Artagnan the Arabian, Scout & Shadowfax, the two Missouri Fox trotters as well as our two cats, Legolas and Eowyn. Thus, I never run out of fresh material to paint or draw.
I cannot write about me without writing about my family. It cannot be done. Mostly we are empty nesters, but the youngest, Brandon keeps showing up at all hours with friends to play Settlers of Catan, make popcorn and watch movies. He's a senior at OSU.

Our Eldest son, Colt lives in Oklahoma City with his talented and beautiful wife Claire and our amazing grandson, Duke, now 2. We LOVE that they live close by and that they like visiting us. Our hearts are full.

I've lived a lot of places: Wisconsin,Virginia, North Carolina, Illinois, Iowa, Upper Michigan, Minnesota, Colorado, Oklahoma, Florida, Texas, & back to Oklahoma, which we have called home since 1995, the year of the Murrah building bombing. Funny way to remember something, I know, but there it is. There has always been an art studio in some corner of our home wherever we lived. Even if Tom did not have room for an office, he made sure we carved out space for a studio for me.

John Eldredge said in his book, The Journey of Desire:
“It seems hard to believe that we could add anything to the splendor God creates, but that is exactly what we are designed for and what our future involves.”
…And that is why I paint and draw the things I love about this earth.
